Services Offered

Nurse assists a patientWVUH-East Home Health Care offers a wide array of home health services provided by our experienced staff. Care provided is available on an intermittent or part-time basis and is tailored to meet individual needs.



Nursing Services

Registered nurses provide services under a plan of care that is developed with your physician and individualized to meet your special needs. Services provided may include health education, IV Therapy, wound care, administration of injectable medications, drawing blood for laboratory tests, enteral nutrition and pain management.

We have home care nurses on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rehabilitative Services

Physical Therapy – Physical therapists help you regain independence after an illness or accident by evaluating your rehabilitative needs and teaching you techniques such as gait training, pain control, home exercise programs, muscle strengthening and prosthetic care.

Medical Social Services

Social Workers provide support for you and your family when social, emotional or financial factors interfere with your treatment or health maintenance.

Home Health Aide Assistance

Specially trained home health aides provide personal care services to help you perform everyday tasks made difficult by illness or injury. These services are provided under the supervision of a registered nurse for those patients receiving skilled nursing or therapy services.

Nutritional Services

A registered dietitian is available to provide nutritional counseling and education. Consultation is also provided to nursing staff for patients with nutrition related problems.
